My client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. This role involves managing daily communications, ensuring financial records are accurate, and supporting the accounting processes within our organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:- Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries.
- Preparing statutory accounts.
- Ensuring payments, amounts, and records are correct.
- Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers, and journals.
- Recording and filing cash transactions.
- Controlling credit and chasing debt.
- Processing invoices and filing them.
- Handling expense requests for the accountant’s approval.
- Conducting bank reconciliation.
- Liaising with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers.
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
- Familiarity with basic accounting procedures.
- Competency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
