Job Description:
The Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing bespoke structural steel products for the building and construction industries. You will engage in a variety of responsibilities, from liaising with clients and stakeholders to troubleshooting on-site challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design bespoke structural steel products using AutoCAD.
- Innovate and enhance systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and builders to identify site requirements.
- Produce production information and manage multiple design projects.
- Drive new product development, from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to regulations.
This role demands a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensure project success.
Skills & Experience:
- Degree in engineering, design, or the built environment (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other 2D design tools.
- Previous mentorship experience or a willingness to do this.
- Strong attention to detail and data-driven mindset.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to solve complex challenges.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
