Our client provides, manufactures and distributes an extensive range of high-quality water management products and systems.

Due to company growth our client is looking to bring in an experienced Ledger Clerk/Accounts Assistant to work full time in the office.

You will be responsible for processing purchase, nominal, and sales ledgers, handling period-end reports and reconciliations, managing banking and remittances for monthly payments, processing CIS, inputting expenses, overtime, and timesheets, updating Excel spreadsheets, and assisting with incoming telephone calls and emails when required.

  • Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 5:00 and Fridays 08:00 - 4:30pm (can be flexible with working hours).

Position Overview

  • Ledger processing - Purchase, Nominal and Sales.
  • Period End - Printing reports of accounts and reconciling.
  • Banking and remittances for monthly payment runs.
  • Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processing.
  • Expenses and Overtime processing onto Excel.
  • Inputting Engineers Timesheets onto Accounts package - Hours and Vanning.
  • Updating Excel spreadsheets with existing formulas.
  • Second in line to answering incoming telephone calls including using initiative to deal with client request if the Directors are out - first in line when Office Administrator out of office.

Position Requirements

  • Experience with Sage is essential.
  • Someone who is adaptable and able to help where needed.
  • Must have excellent telephone manner.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
