Job Description:
As a Production Manager, you will oversee operations across three areas, ensuring efficient delivery of business targets, including output, quality, cost, compliance, health and safety, and team management. You will play a pivotal role in driving improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Safety: Promote and enforce a culture of exemplary safety standards and compliance.
  • People Management: Lead, motivate, and engage a team of supervisors and production staff. Deliver regular team briefings, manage absence protocols, and provide training.
  • Output: Monitor and plan to meet hourly, daily, and weekly production targets while adjusting for challenges.
  • Compliance: Conduct routine audits and ensure adherence to ISO and company standards.
  • Cost Management: Control production area costs, including headcount, overtime, and material waste.
  • Quality: Ensure consistent product quality and address any deviations promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimize processes and enhance reliability.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven operational knowledge in a manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong data-driven decision-making abilities
  • Ability to challenge norms and drive improvements
  • Proficient in problem-solving and change management
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word

Desirable:

  • IOSH Managing Safely certification
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
