GEM Partnership is delighted to exclusively partner with OES Group in their search for a Sales Engineer covering the maritime sector.

Founded in Birtley, with a now truly global reach, OES Group is market leading in offshore wind and they are seeking to replicate this success in the Maritime sector. Having developed complete in-house solutions for cathodic protection and anti-fouling systems, rapid expansion has followed including expansion into a new facility, opening an office and warehouse in the Netherlands and diversifying into new sectors.

This year the business has acquired a facility on Team Valley their stellar trajectory was recognised with the award for Fastest Growing Medium Business at the 2024 North East Fastest 50 Awards, in the £10m - £30m turnover category.

With experience of selling into the maritime industry, you will have a stellar track record in new business acquisition and be motivated to accelerate both your earnings and career in an equally ambitious organisation at what is an exciting time in their evolution.

Key Duties:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the maritime sector.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and promoting OES Group's services and solutions.
  • Attending conferences and networking events to promote the business and help develop pipeline.
  • Manage your own pipeline and all work activities, maintaining accurate information and up-to-date forecasts on all prospects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met effectively.

The Person:

  • Stellar track record in new business acquisition.
  • Experience of selling into the maritime industry.
  • Experience of using a consultative, solution-based methodology when engaging with prospective clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

Their package is market leading, will be tailored to the individual, and is intended to attract and retain leading talent. You can be based anywhere in the UK with circa monthly visits to their North East facility.
