Our client is a UK-based company that designs and manufactures innovative drainage and water management systems, offering efficient and cost-effective solutions for surface and wastewater management. With over 30 years of expertise, they provide high-performance products, all proudly manufactured in the UK, and are committed to supporting customers with trusted, reliable solutions.

Due to company growth, our client is looking to bring in an experienced Sales Order Processor for a full-time, office-based role.

As a Sales Order Processor, you will be responsible for accurately processing both sales and purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and stock levels are maintained. You will also manage logistics, track deliveries, resolve transport issues, and handle invoicing and customer queries.

Sales Order Processor

Position Overview:

  • Process both sales orders and purchase orders accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with suppliers from order placement to delivery, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Ensure supplier KPIs are met, particularly regarding lead times.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers via phone and email to provide updates on order progress and delivery information.
  • Arrange transport by creating manifests using Excel and entering information on various transport portals.
  • Track deliveries to ensure timely arrival and the most cost-effective shipping method is used.
  • Obtain Proof of Deliveries (PODs) for all orders.
  • Resolve any transport-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure sales orders are accurate and issue invoices to customers.
  • Address any customer queries or issues related to invoices.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience in an order processing or logistics environment is essential.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word at an intermediate level, are essential.
  • A professional and confident telephone manner is essential.
  • The ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • NVQ3 in Business Administration or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with Salesforce is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with Sage 50 is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience using shared mailboxes and shared documents is desirable but not essential.
