Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication and welding, with the ability to work with steel plate up to 200mm. This role requires Fabricating and MIG Welding experience and proficiency in using hand/power tools and cutting torches

Duties

  • Fabricate and heavy steel according to specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Perform welding tasks using MIG welding techniques, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
  • Utilise hand/power tools and cutting torches for cutting, steel up to 200mm thick
  • Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality control standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Time served Welding and Fabrication
  • Proven experience in fabrication and welding, particularly with steel plate.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools/cutting torches safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Must pass an initial bare wire MIG Weld Test

Hourly Rate

Basic Hours 17.23 (Includes holiday pay)

Basic Hours 14.64 (Accrue holiday pay)

Overtime 1 x 1.50 (up to 5 hours)

Overtime 2 x 1.66 (after 5 hours)
