Your new firmThis independent chartered accountancy firm based in the Northwest is seeking to appoint an Accountant into their large and spacious office in the heart of Chester. This role has come around following an extended period of company growth, presenting an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and committed candidate who is seeking to join a firm with a true people focus.

Your new roleIn this Accountant role, you will be responsible for overseeing and preparing year-end, management accounts, VAT and tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients working with a range of turnovers, reporting to managers alongside your work. Day-to-day duties will also include taking an active role in supporting the wider team members within the firm. You will also be required to develop strong client knowledge and build strong client relationships.

What you'll need to succeedThe firm is seeking a professional Accountant who possesses previous experience within practice, preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT returns, as well as some exposure to training junior team members. You will be ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified or part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE). To succeed in this role, you will need strong knowledge of accountancy software whilst being eager to learn and progress professionally within the firm, which will allow you to benefit from the comprehensive support on offer.
