Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Chester (Hybrid 2 days WFH)

Salary: £30,000 - £37,000

Job Summary:The Assistant Management Accountant will support the finance department in preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and performing various accounting tasks. This role is ideal for a part-qualified accountant who is eager to develop their skills and grow within the company.

STUDY SUPPORT INCLUDED

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end audit files and liaise with auditors.
  • Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a similar accounting role is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
