Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading manufacturing business based in Deeside as they look to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.

This opportunity is ideal for a part qualified or AAT qualified Assistant Accountant to join a fast paced role and gain further expsosure within a challenging and rewarding role.

Salary/benefits:

  • Up to £40,000pa
  • 33 days holiday per year
  • Office based
  • 8am-5pm Mon - Fri

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing accurate monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journal entries
  • Provide detailed analysis and commentary on variances
  • Bank and inter-company reconciliations
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support
  • Reporting out on key areas of the business to internal stakeholders to assist decision making
  • Maintaining capital expenditure files and the fixed assets register
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly payroll submissions for our external providers and pension uploads
  • Project work
  • Carrying out stock audits across the business and advising on process improvements
  • Assisting with the year-end accounts and audit
  • Contributing to continuous process improvement and maintaining financial controls
  • Any other tasks required by the Group Financial Controller / Head of Finance

Key Requirements

  • Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience of preparing management accounts to strict deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
  • Strong Excel and system skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide accurate information
  • Able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexibility to support with additional ad-hoc tasks
