We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team, we are an established and settled firm with a growing portfolio of clients.

Our client is a well-established professional services firm, based just outside of Chester. With a mid-sized team, they are renowned for their high quality work and commitment to their clients.
Description
- Ability to confidently work on Corporate and Technical accounts.
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyse financial information and summarise financial status
- Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
- Provide technical support and advice to management
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Reviewing & coaching of junior work
Profile
A successful Senior Accountant should have:
- Proven experience as senior accountant within a similar sized firm.
- ACA/ACCA qualified or substantially QBE
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Awareness of business trends
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
- Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
Job Offer
