Job Purpose
  • Support a varied tax portfolio across compliance, as well as supporting senior team with advisory work.
  • Preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Handling international and inheritance tax.
  • Preparation of Trusts and estates computations.
  • Research and interpret updates to taxation news and legislation, both UK and overseas.
  • Build good rapport with clients, proactively handling queries and resolving issues.
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, managing enquiries and investigations.
  • Preparing tax strategies for clients and delivering tax planning advice.
  • Calculate tax liability and advising on minimising measures.
  • Deliver guidance on indirect tax issues, including VAT and customs planning.
  • Assist with technical research and developing reports.
  • Support junior staff by reviewing work and providing training.
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking regular training opportunities.
