We are currently recruiting for a Tax Specialist to join an established and busy team based in Chester. Our client services clients across the UK and across multiple sectors such as Construction, Property, Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail and Professional Services. They are a team of highly experienced consultants and due to company growth this role has become available, and they are excited to welcome their next team member.

WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW AS A TAX SPECIALIST

  • Salary IRO £35,000 to £45,000 DOE
  • Monday to Friday working hours which are flexible between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
  • Free onsite parking

A SNAPSHOT OF THE TAX SPECIALIST ROLE:

  • Researching, analysing, and interpreting changing tax legislation in both the UK and overseas
  • Working with tax law and revenue provisions
  • Liaising and negotiating with HMRC on behalf of your clients
  • Producing detailed reports to calculate tax liability
  • Advising clients on how to minimise tax liability
  • Establishing and structuring family trusts
  • Guiding clients on issues such as VAT and customs planning
  • Visiting local clients and producing reports and presentations for/to them
  • And more!

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Experience within the same/similar role
  • Exceptional numeracy skills
  • A logical and analytical mindset
  • Be able communicate complex legislation to non-specialists
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Have a flexible approach to work.
