We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable/receivable, and assisting with various accounting tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist with accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
  • Process monthly sales invoices and manage credit control.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain organised records of financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Related accountancy qualification (AAT) or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero, is highly desirable.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
