Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable/receivable, and assisting with various accounting tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
- Process monthly sales invoices and manage credit control.
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain organised records of financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Related accountancy qualification (AAT) or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero, is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
