Account Manager Job Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Digital Account Manager to join their team. This pivotal role will report to an Account Director and sit within one of their agile SEO teams, fostering great communication and keeping campaigns on strategy and on target.
Clients often begin their journey with the agency, focusing on a single service. Your role as Account Manager will be to build trust with clients, align everyone on strategic goals, and create opportunities for them to scale their marketing efforts. This includes helping clients expand their work with the agency across PPC, PR and Paid Social. Their clients are predominantly eCommerce brands and retailers of all sizes, ranging from ambitious startups to established companies with significant marketing budgets.
Core Responsibilities of the Account Manager role:
- Ensure the smooth and timely delivery of key account management tasks at all campaign stages, including calls, meetings, and reporting.
- Build and nurture trusted client relationships, acting as a strategic advisor on SEO & PR performance and opportunities.
- Analyse and report on the performance data to measure success against our campaign goals.
- Identify risks and proactively recommend solutions to address challenges before they escalate.
- Spot growth opportunities within your accounts, including upselling and cross-selling additional services.
- Stay current with SEO, PR, and digital marketing trends, sharing insights and strategies with clients and the internal team.
- Represent the SEO & PR team in client meetings, ensuring alignment on goals and strategy.
- Coordinate with the client, the team, partner agencies and broader stakeholders to create an effective feedback loop.
What you'll need to be successful in the Account Manager role:
- Proven experience managing client relationships, ensuring retention, and driving growth.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, content strategy, and digital PR outreach.
- A well-rounded knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, including how SEO and PR integrate with PPC and other channels.
- Experience coordinating a multi-faceted campaign with a team and stakeholders.
