Accounts Payable - Chester areaSalary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing finance team based in the Chester area. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage invoices accurately and on time
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Ensure timely payment of suppliers, adhering to agreed payment terms
- Handle queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
- Assist with month-end procedures and reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Support the finance team with ad hoc duties as required
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in an accounts payable role is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good working knowledge of accounting software (experience with SAP, Excel, or similar is an advantage)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
