Operations Analyst

Are you a dedicated Operations Analyst with a passion for making a difference in the banking industry? Our client, an industry-leading organisation in the banking sector, is seeking a talented individual to join their team in Chester as an Operations Analyst on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a team that has a positive presence in the location and works with priority clients globally, including senior executives.

About the Role:

This role involves providing technical support in a leading Derivatives support function for one or more Derivatives product areas. You will be part of an established team with a strong presence in Chester for over 10 years, working with global partners including senior personnel from locations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, London, and New York.

Key Responsibilities:

路 Client Service: Deliver excellent client service to priority clients, managing cash flows and providing comprehensive support.

路 Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve pre and post cash settlement discrepancies, perform cash reconciliations, and clear cash breaks.

路 Risk Management: Liaise with Trade Support teams in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and New York to resolve and highlight risk and break issues.

路 System Improvement: Contribute to system infrastructure and control environment improvements through project and ad-hoc testing.

路 Analysis & Reporting: Conduct root cause analysis, communicate updates and critical issues to senior management, and strive to enhance client service and efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:

路 Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

路 Relationship Building: Ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority with internal and external clients.

路 Analytical Skills: Strong numeracy and analytical skills, including data reconciliation and interpretation. Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.

路 Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a high-energy environment.

路 Problem Solving: Keen problem solver with a thirst for process improvement and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

路 Experience: Experience in Derivatives and Customer Service is desirable.
