Overview:
Our client is leading food business. We are seeking a creative Development Chef to work on product ranges and renovate the range.
This is a critical, role within the business NPD team, to develop their products that meet the evolving needs of consumers in their category.
The Candidate:
- Educated to HNC/HND level
- A Development Chef with experience working in food manufacturing.
- Competitor awareness in NPD.
- Strong understanding of large-scale food manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in cost management and production efficiency strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
The Role:
- Inspire development panels and facilitate taste and quality panels.
- Lead seasonal trend workshops in line with the strategy.
- You will be the voice of the customer during the product development process.
- Be in line with NPD in terms of timelines to prioritise.
- Provide feedback to buyers, technologists and suppliers.
- Confidence dealing with colleagues/suppliers and having the ability to say no portray customer viewpoint when necessary
