Sous Chef Required

We're looking for an enthusiastic & creative Sous Chef to work in our busy hotel.
You'll report to our Head Chef, and cater for hotel residents, as well as a variety of events including weddings and corporate functions.
At Lavender Hotels we believe in developing our teams, so you will be treated as a professional whilst gaining some great experience in an establishment with a great reputation for food and beverage excellence.
The successful applicant will be passionate about creating innovative and exiting food, whilst having the ability to keep cool under pressure, and an eagerness to learn new skills.
Ideally we are looking for a chef with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar setting

To enhance our team, we are seeking a motivated individual incorporating the following tasks and responsibilities:

As a Sous Chef your Key Responsibilities include:

Menu engineering.

Prepare, cook and present food with a high standard for both functions and for our rosette restaurant service.

Encourage, supervise and help develop the junior brigade in line with senior management.

Stock control management.

Wage Control.

Deputising for the Head Chef in his absence.

The Experience & Qualifications required are:

Previous experience working as a Sous Chef in the Hotel industry for at least 2 years.

Food hygiene and food preparation/professional cookery qualifications would be an advantage.

Proven culinary skills.

A good track record of success.

Other Skills Required:

Enthusiastic and motivated, with a good eye for detail and accuracy.

Being a team leader to motivate the team.

This role is a great opportunity to learn and develop within a busy kitchen environment.
