Zachary Daniels Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this leading food retailer in appointment of a Strategic Network Planning Team Lead to join their ever expanding business.

In this new role as Strategic Network Planning Team Lead your role will be to implement and support the continuous review of our clients estate at a store and postcode specific level to maximise their customer offering while operating as efficiently as possible

Key Accountabilities of the role:

  • Implement and manage a continuous review process of store capacities and slot offering to keep the transport network efficient while improving sales opportunities.
  • Proactively seek to reduce the zoned postcode offering through new processes or tools.
  • Improve robustness within the delivered sales service to keep customer impacts to an absolute minimum.
  • Store profile reviews based on later data driven evidence.
  • Key databases and tools used by the online planning team kept up to date in line with latest practices.
  • New systems tested and aligned with existing processes and tools
  • Work collaboratively across Ecommerce, digital operations and retail to successfully implement changes
  • Plan and monitor growth for future capacity planning.
  • Use a model to measure and track the network capacity to inform the investment strategy and understand the operational realities.
  • Manage a team of network planners to ensure the function is being creative and proactive to continually drive the delivered sales service.

Experience required:

  • Experienced in logistical operations problem solving and planning
  • Knowledge of online industry best practices for a logistics operation.
  • Experienced in managing a team.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to develop practices for reduce cost and increased commercial performance.
