Our client is an established rail and engineering contractor with a busy and burgeoning in house design capability. With much of the rail industry currently experiencing a lull in workload this employer is bucking the trend. The multidisciplinary design team has grown sufficiently to necessitate the appointment of a head of civils.

The successful applicant will take on line management responsibility of a rail civil design team and will both oversee and personally contribute to a wide ranging portfolio of rail civils design schemes.

To apply for this role you must meet the following criteria:

  • An established principal level rail civil design engineer
  • A wide range of specialist technical civil expertise
  • You will hold an academic qualification commensurate to the level of role
  • CEng strongly preferred but not essential
  • You must have line management experience
  • You will be based within an hour of Cheshire
  • You must be based in the UK and permanently eligible to work in the UK.
