Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Civil Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract or permanent basis in a flexible UK location.
Role Purpose:
The Senior Civil Design Engineer will play a key role in the design and delivery of Non-Infra UK Water Engineering projects, providing technical leadership and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. This role involves working on complex projects, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on design standards, engineering codes, and best practices.
- Develop civil engineering deliverables, including calculations, models, drawings, and reports.
- Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams across multiple disciplines.
- Develop specifications for data collection, material selection, and construction techniques.
- Serve as a technical specialist, providing advice and mentoring junior staff.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and design responsibilities.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Strong Civil Engineering Design, Hydraulics, or Structural background.
- Experience in design & build projects.
- Knowledge of non-infrastructure water/wastewater treatment works design.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and specialists.
- Strong understanding of health & safety responsibilities in design.
