We’re looking for a Contracts Delivery Manager to join our team at our Capenhurst and Birchwood site. In this role, you will lead the Contract Management Capacity Expansion Team, supporting all projects delivered within their portfolio or programme, primarily focusing on UD and UNL projects. Your remit will involve developing support resources and taking accountability for the quality of Contract Management output in Urenco’s project portfolio.
You will play a key role in supporting local projects, major projects, and expansion programme demands, while also acting as the first point of contact for customers.

What You’ll Do:
- Promote a Proactive Safety Culture: Actively foster a safety-conscious environment throughout the project lifecycle across the Group.
- Report Delivery & Resource Planning: Accountable for delivering portfolio or programme-level reports, including forward resource planning.
- Manage BU Capacity Expansion Projects: Take accountability for the Capacity Expansion Projects and related requirements within the business unit (BU).
- Develop Contract Management Strategies: Create contract management strategies tailored to specific project needs and take ownership of the implementation plan.
- Ensure Alignment with Business Objectives: Ensure the project delivery strategy aligns with the business objectives and company-wide contractual requirements.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Flow down contract management requirements to the supply chain to ensure compliance.
- Optimise Project Support Resources: Ensure the optimal use of both contract and staff resources for project support.
- Project, Programme & Portfolio Reporting: Oversee reporting on project, programme, and portfolio status in relation to safety, scope, cost, schedule, and business benefits.
- Monitor Project Progress: Analyse project progress metrics to ensure successful project delivery, flagging issues in advance for timely remedial actions.
- Supply Chain Progress Monitoring: Analyse supply chain progress to ensure successful delivery, addressing issues promptly with the project manager.
- Implement Project Control Metrics: Establish and manage project control metrics to track and analyse performance.
- Team Integration & High-Performance Culture: Lead and integrate cross-functional teams, ensuring flawless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support Project Manager & Client Needs: Support the project manager and project owner/end client in fulfilling project and commercial requirements.
- Protect Urenco’s Commercial Position: Safeguard Urenco’s commercial position by applying industry best practices in contracting strategies, supplier selection, procurement, contract negotiation, and management.
- Knowledge Transfer & Continuous Improvement: Ensure knowledge retention and conduct lessons-learned reviews to foster continuous improvement.
What You Need to Thrive in This Role:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and managing contract management teams.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyse project requirements and critical success factors, translating them into bespoke Contract Management Strategies.
- Proven Delivery Success: Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing strategies that successfully deliver projects in line with business objectives (safety, budget, cost, and benefits).
- Handling Ambiguity: Ability to manage ambiguity and confidently take accountability for project delivery.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams of up to 8 direct reports. Skilled in communicating strategy, fostering a sense of accountability, and motivating team members to consistently achieve goals and maintain high standards of performance.
- Contract Management Knowledge: Solid knowledge and experience in managing contract management personnel.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in German is a bonus, alongside fluent English.
