Description
The key responsibilities of the Credit Controller include:
- Managing customer accounts and maintaining an up-to-date billing system.
- Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Overseeing customer billing and cash receipts processing.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Chasing customers for payments
- Utilising customer intelligence data to drive cash collections
- Analysing revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately.
- Performing account reconciliations.
- Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
- Providing timely and effective collection on all overdue billing accounts.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
- Prior experience in a Credit Controller role or similar.
- Eagerness to speak to customers on the phone
- Competent in the use of computers and data management software
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial software.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
