Rapidly expanding integrator requires a skilled EC&I Engineer preferably with water experience. A Senior level candidate would be ideal, however the key is someone who is prepared to be the expert in their discipline, being the lead Engineer and taking on EC&I aspects across all UK sites.

EC&I Engineer  - The Role:

  • Take part in the tendering process – review specifications, create deviation lists and negotiating scope of supply
  • Configure and develop PLC & SCADA software for a wide variety of applications
  • Complete electrical design for cabling, field power cabling, instrumentation configuration with some electrical schematic design
  • Create the BOM – Instrument fittings, glands, cables, cable trays etc.
  • Understand contracts with respect to the electrical and instrumentation scope of supply for process automation projects - primarily Water and FMCG
  • Prepare P&ID to company and customer requirements
  • Complete engineering documents such as instrument lists, IO list, cable list, interconnection diagram
  • Compile FAT & SAT documents

 

EC&I Engineer - The Person:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar industry
  • Electrical Design experience – ideally in AutoCad
  • Self-motivated and willing to be flexible with travel
  • Ideally have previously worked in a similar role within a systems integration environment
  • Any experience of WIMES for the water sector highly advantageous
  • MUST be an experienced person for this role

 

This position will involve c30% travel across the UK with occasional overnights. You will travel out to customers to take client specifications, and then return to support with test & commissioning. All expenses are covered and mileage paid at the top government rate.
