Randstad Education are currently recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant specialising in SEMH for a long-term role based in Chester. Experience is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to a child with SEMH needs.
  • Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive social interactions.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to develop and deliver individualised support plans.
  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment where the child can thrive.
  • Encouraging and supporting the child's academic and personal development.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and other professionals involved in the child's care.

Requirements:

  • Teaching Assistant experience
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH/SEN
  • Level 2/3 Childcare qualification (preferred, but not essential)
  • Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to apply)
