Your new companyDue to unprecedented demand from our partnership schools across the Chester, Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas, Hays Recruitment is looking to recruit a number of motivated and reliable teaching assistants to join our supply team. As a member of our supply team, you will have the option to pick and choose your availability and gain experience across a number of primary schools.Your new roleAs a teaching assistant at Hays, you will have the opportunity to not only pick your own availability and preferred year group. You will also be able to work in a school of your choosing. As a teaching assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment for all pupils by building a strong constructive relationship with students and taking a pupil-centred approach to their education. You will aid in general classroom and behaviour management by utilising a myriad of learning equipment and implementing positive behaviour strategies. Other core duties (dependent on key stages) consist of intervention and booster sessions, phonics sessions/assessments, 1:1 and group support, social and emotional development, and SATs preparation.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience supporting a class from EYFS - KS2 within the last 2 years, as well as:

  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions
