Senior Design Manager

Exciting new opportunity to work for a leading principal contractor on a large leisure / stadium project in the North West valued at 50m.

Due to new contract award, there is an opportunity for an experienced Design Manger to join a leading tier 1 building contractor on the design & build of a large innovative leisure & stadium project in the North West.

This is a fast growing region which can offer excellent career prospects and development opportunities over the next few years in to senior leadership.

• Take the lead responsibility on the management & delivery of design information from preconstruction to delivery on site working to contractual & programme & delivery schedule.
• Provide technical expertise to assess, mitigate and manage risk regarding design & financial risks during construction
• Attending and chairing design meetings
• Ensuring design & delivery meet health and safety legislation and building standards.

• Background and proven track record as a Design Manager working for a principal contractor and within industrial, stadium, leisure or commercial projects.
• An architectural background (ARB/RIBA qualified or Technologist)
  A proven track record of managing design processes
  * Ideally a background within a main contractor environment with responsibility for design fee/budget management, client reporting, and coordination through delivery
  * Some previous line management experience
  * Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage varying stakeholders effectively

Salary & Package on offer

• Base Salary 75k - 85k (dependent on level / skills)
