A well-established food manufacturing company, located near Chester, is seeking a skilled Specifications Technologist to join their dynamic team. Known for producing high-quality food products, this business is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and product excellence. The company is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Specifications Technologist to ensure that all product specifications are accurate, compliant, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements. The Role
As Specifications Technologist, you will:
- Createand updatedetailed product specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and food safety regulations.
- Collaborateclosely with internal teams (e.g., production, quality assurance, and R&D) to gather product information and ensure specifications align with manufacturing processes.
- Liaisewith customers and suppliers to obtain necessary data and ensure specifications are fit for purpose.
- Ensurecompliance with relevant food industry regulations and certifications such as BRC, HACCP, and FSSC.
- Managethe specification approval process, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of accurate documentation.
- Assistwith the development of nutritional and ingredient labeling to meet legal and customer requirements.
- Troubleshootspecification-related issues, providing solutions, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in specification processes.
- Keepup to date with relevant industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer demands to ensure specifications remain current.
The Candidate
The successful Specifications Technologist will:
- Have retailer experience, preferably at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asdaor Morrisons.
