We’re looking for a Day Operator within our Enrichment plant. Based at our Capenhurst site, you’ll work as part of a flexible team, supporting tasks specific to the delivery of operational KPIs that ensure targeted outputs are achieved. As an Operator 1 within the Enrichment Operations team, you will work with natural, enriched and depleted uranium to meet customer demands.

What you’ll do:

  • Understand and carry out tasks in line with approved procedures to ensure they are performed safely and in a consistent way.
  • Understand and carry out activities identified in competency framework that support efficient running of the facility.
  • Transport, install and connect specified cylinders to ensure sufficient availability of stations to continue plant operations
  • Commission, decommission and disconnect stations to ensure sufficient plant capacity is maintained.
  • Be an active participant to promote Zero Harm initiatives and thereby maintain a safe, reliable and secure working environment

What do you need to thrive in this role?

  • Process/Craft apprentice or equivalent process plant operating experience
  • Ability to interpret and follow written procedures
  • Fault finding and trouble shooting
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safe operating conditions.
  • IT literate to support use of Microsoft applications, SAP and other bespoke plant software
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a team
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new skills
