Academics is currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher for secondary schools in Chester and the surrounding areas on a flexible, supply basis. You can tailor your hours to suit your schedule-whether you're looking for a few hours a week or more!
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that lessons run smoothly and students continue to receive a high-quality learning experience in the absence of their regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise secondary school students in the absence of their regular teacher
- Deliver pre-planned lessons while maintaining an engaging and productive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive, respectful atmosphere
- Follow school policies and procedures
- Ensure students stay on task and focused on their work
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience supporting children or young adults is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability to different school environments
- Enhanced DBS certificate (registered with the update service), or the willingness to obtain one
- Must be based in Chester or the surrounding areas
