Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a supplier to the construction industry in their search for a an experienced Health & Safety Environmental Officer to work from their head office facility in Chester.Â
For the successful Health & Safety Environmental Officer our client is offering:
- £35.000 per annumÂ
- 35 hours a week Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Friday 08:30 – 12:30

The role - Health & Safety Environmental Officer :Â
- Ensure the business is fully up to speed with current and planned changes to HSE legislation, attending such courses and events as necessary
- Liaise with industry HSE bodies
- Inspection of HSE related equipment and mechanisms
- Help to carry out investigations into HSE related incidents and recommend changes
- Conduct risk assessments, advise managers on implementation including procedures, communications, PPE and other safety related mechanisms
- Support and challenge to mangers in delivering their HSE objectives and actions, attending team meetings where appropriate
- Support the HSE Manager in developing new and best practice and implementing agreed programmers to deliver continuous improvement
What our client is looking for in a Health & Safety Environmental Officer:
- 2 -5 years’ hands-on experience in an HSE role - ESSENTIAL
- NEBOSH General Certificate in HSE - ESSENTIAL
- Experience of managing HSE systems-ESSENTIAL
- A passion for world-class Health & Safety performance
- Used to working to tight budgets and time constraints
