Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting teachers with the delivery of lessons and providing individualised support to students, particularly those with special educational needs. Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in preparing and delivering educational materials and lessons.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support.
- Work closely with children with autism and other special educational needs to facilitate their learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Support classroom management by helping maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Assist in the assessment of student progress and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs).
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and staff.
- A background in tutoring or mentoring is an advantage.
- Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and strategies for supporting affected individuals is beneficial.
