This role is perfect for an individual with a passion for helping clients affected by industrial diseases, and an eagerness to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, high-performing environment.As part of this dynamic team, you will be working on a variety of complex and rewarding cases, including asbestos-related diseases, military noise-induced hearing loss, and other occupational disease compensation claims. You'll be involved in every stage of the legal process, from the initial client consultation to settlement, providing you with excellent exposure to key aspects of personal injury and industrial disease law.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of a caseload of industrial disease claims, including asbestos-related diseases and noise-induced hearing loss.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including letters of claim, witness statements, and court forms.
- Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and third-party insurers to gather evidence and ensure cases progress efficiently.
- Provide support to senior fee earners in preparing cases for trial and settlement negotiations.
- Maintain and update case files in accordance with firm policies and deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with clients, ensuring they are kept informed and supported throughout the claims process.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of cases at hearings, as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Paralegal in a personal injury, industrial disease, or litigation role is preferred but not essential.
- A genuine interest in industrial disease law, with a particular focus on asbestos-related conditions and hearing loss claims.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and effectively manage relationships.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle a varied caseload while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a strong desire to learn and develop professionally.
