Project Engineer (CAD Experience)

We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join a market leading manufacturing company in their respective field. Reporting directly to the Projects Division Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong project engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

In your role as a Project Engineer, you will be expected to perform the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Produce General Arrangement Drawings and Electrical Schematics using 2D AutoCad/Draftsight.
  • Produce 3D assemblies and designing sheet metal components to a high-quality standard for manufacture/fabrication.
  • Produce Bill of Materials for projects.
  • Manage the day-to-day running your assigned projects liaising with the production team.
  • Communicate with customers.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum NVQ level 3 or HNC/D Engineering Discipline.
  • Experience working in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering role.
  • Experience using 3D Solidworks, AutoCAD/Draftsight 2D design software and Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude for generating solutions.
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards learning.
  • Highly organized and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of LV Switchgear and/or bespoke substation enclosures/ E-houses would be desirable.
  • A valid CSCS/ECS card would be desirable.
