Payroll Administrator

Location: Capenhurst, Chester

Rates: £18 - £22 per hour PAYE

Duration: 3 months, potentially for temp to perm

Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and highly organised Payroll Administrator to join our team at Urenco UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the administrative arrangements to ensure employees' salaries are paid correctly and on time. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workload efficiently.

The Payroll Administrator will work closely with employees and managers at all levels internally, as well as liaising with external contacts such as pension scheme providers, HMRC, and other government bodies to exchange information. You will also provide varied administrative support to the Payroll Coordinator, ensuring that all payroll processes are administered accurately and in line with departmental instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input and check payroll data including salary changes, new starters, leavers, and absence records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll and employee records.
  • Ensure all payments are correctly authorised and processed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with employees and external providers to resolve payroll queries.
  • Reconcile and arrange monthly pension contributions.
  • Collate and format data for reports to be distributed to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review payroll for anomalies and ensure compliance with data protection principles.
