Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Payroll Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and processing of payroll
- Learning and gradually undertaking various accounting tasks
- Ensuring accurate and timely entry of financial data
- Maintaining payroll records and employee information
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and documents
- Addressing client queries with HMRC
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Compiling personal tax computations and returns
- Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services
- Maintaining up-to-date accounting records for clients
- Preparing annual accounts and corporation tax returns
- Offering administrative support to the accounts department
