Search are a leading recruitment agency representing a well-established client in Chester who is seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their team. If you have experience in payroll and are looking to join a supportive and thriving business, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities include:As a Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process. Your key duties will include:* Processing payroll for a large volume of employees accurately and on time.* Ensuring compliance with tax, National Insurance, pension, and statutory deductions.* Preparing and submitting RTI (Real Time Information) to HMRC.* Managing employee records and updating details as necessary.* Handling employee payroll queries and resolving issues in a professional manner.* Preparing monthly and year-end reports for management.* Supporting the administration of benefits, pensions, and other related schemes.* Assisting with the preparation of reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
Skills required:* Proven experience as a Payroll Assistant or in a similar payroll position.* Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including RTI, PAYE, and NIC.* Experience using payroll software * High attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll data.* Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage employee queries professionally.* Strong organisational and time-management skills.* A proactive and adaptable attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
