Graduate Accounts Assistant / £25,000 / Hybrid Working Pattern / Tattenhall / Permanent

About the Role
In this role you'll manage and streamline the company's Accounts Payable and financial transactions. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the end-to-end purchase invoice process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Processing daily financial transactions with precision and attention to detail.
  • Updating and maintaining general ledgers and accounting records.
  • Resolving any accounting issues or discrepancies that arise.
  • Conducting monthly supplier invoice reconciliations to ensure accurate records.
  • Managing multiple daily bank reconciliations and keeping cash flow updated.
  • Producing weekly creditor reports and overseeing weekly payment runs.
  • Handling bank administration and managing non-stock purchase orders.
  • Assisting with month-end tasks to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Monitoring the accounts mailbox daily and addressing queries promptly.

What You'll Need

  • A finance or accounting degree (or equivalent).
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities with great attention to detail.
  • Confidence using Excel and a willingness to learn new financial systems.
  • The ability to collaborate well in a team environment and communicate your ideas effectively.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for problem-solving.
