Adaptable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a successful Chester based business who is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant on a part time permanent basis.Salary and Benefits£27000 Pro Rata to reflect circa 27 hours a week25 days holiday + Bank HolidaysHybrid working model in placeFree ParkingJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of credit card transactions , to support the provision of complete and precise financial reporting. Other duties will include-

  • Review the credit card transactions and ensure the company processes have been completed, ensuring they are actioned in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage the monthly credit card process including the reconciliation and ensuring the company process has been followed
  • Manage day to day credit card queries including managing the day to day third party relationship and review of credit limits
  • Prepare and enter monthly journals and post to the finance system.
  • Reconcile credit card balances to the finance system
  • Reconcile any discrepancies and errors identified by communicating with internal stakeholders, ensuring a satisfactory resolution.
  • Work alongside the Assistant Accountant to ensure timely and accurate posting of the credit cards and continually look at ways to improve the process
  • Work alongside the Senior Management Accountant in all aspects of the finance function to support accurate and prompt preparation of financial reports.
  • To support the AP and AR teams
  • Various ad hoc duties as and when required by the Finance Manager.

Essential skills and experienceThe successful candidate must have worked previously in a finance department, have excellent IT skills , good organisational skills and be able to work to strict deadlines.
