Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English Literature lessons to students at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5
- Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for literature and critical thinking
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Prepare students for exams, offering tailored guidance and encouragement
- Work closely with colleagues in the department to share resources and best practices
- Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the school's community
What We Are Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in English Literature or a related field
- Experience teaching English Literature at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 (desired, but not essential)
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities
- A passion for English Literature and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
