Venn Group have been approached by a Support Organisation and would like to introduce the following positions available

Outreach Worker Vacancies waiting to be filled

Position:          Outreach Support Worker

Location:         Chester & Cheshire West

Rate:               £12.83 - 15.00 p /hour (PAYE, inc holiday pay)                  

Length:            8-12 weeks

Hours:             36 hours p/week over 4 days, 6.30am – 4.00pm or 9am - 7pm  includes occasional weekends (1/3)

The role will predominantly involve:

  • Operating a street outreach service to help anybody rough sleeping in Cheshire West and Chester to get support
  • Working with partner agencies such as the police or mental health services to take a positive approach to removing barriers
  • No loneworking
  • Supporting individuals with access to welfare facilities and work with them to understand their circumstances and agree the best option for them to move away from a life on the streets
  • Working closely with the local authority’s CCTV service, local policing units, community safety wardens, fire service, and members of the public in identified “hot spots” to ensure information is acted on quickly
