We are looking for a dynamic Lead Officer to manage the Council's statutory duties for Alternative Provision (AP), ensuring all children and young people have access to high-quality education, including those unable to attend school due to illness, suspension, or other reasons.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with DfE statutory guidance for Alternative Provision and access to full-time education.
- Develop and monitor Service Level Agreements and quality assurance processes for Pupil Referral Units (PRUs).
- Manage monitoring, support, and intervention for schools to support pupils at risk of suspension or exclusion.
- Maintain a central database for children accessing AP, ensuring safeguarding compliance.
- Advise and support Headteachers, Governors, and senior teams in schools on inclusive practices and suspension prevention.
- Lead training programs on suspension and reintegration for school leaders.
- Manage team resources, performance, and professional development.
Implement national policies and guidance regarding Alternative Provision

Key Requirements:
- Knowledge of DFE statutory guidance and the Ofsted Safeguarding Framework.
- Experience in managing educational services and inclusive practices.
- Strong skills in monitoring, reporting, and supporting schools.
- Ability to lead teams and deliver training.
- Excellent communication skills.
