We are looking for highly motivated, flexible, and committed SEN Teaching Assistants for a specialist SEN school in Chester supporting young people aged 4 - 19 years old. The young have autism and additional learning difficulties.

About the Role:

This school we are working with is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to support young people with autism aged 4-11 years whom may have additional learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge.



These roles are full time and long term.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience and understanding of how to support young people with social, emotional, mental health needs
  • School experience
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to take one out
  • The Right to Work in the UK

Duties will include:

  • Supporting and supervising educational games, sports, and craft activities
  • Helping children with their reading
  • Preparing the classroom for a lesson
  • Working with pupils in small groups/and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs
  • Putting together displays of children's work
  • Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
  • Listening to children read, reading to them, or telling them stories
  • Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
  • Supervising group activities
