I am working on behalf of a dedicated and welcoming SEN school in Chester, committed to providing exceptional education and support for children with a range of additional learning needs. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team.

About the Role:As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will design and deliver tailored lesson plans, adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student, and collaborate with a supportive team of professionals, parents, and carers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for students with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and more.
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages students' personal and academic growth.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, teaching assistants, and support staff.
  • Track students' progress, assess needs, and adjust strategies accordingly to ensure every child is supported in achieving their potential.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred, but not essential.
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of students with additional learning needs.
