Proactive Personnel are thrilled to be working with global manufacturing and engineering company to recruit for a Materials Planning Manager to join their well established planning and commercial team based on the outskirts of Chester.

The Materials Planning Manager will take an active role in leading and developing the planning and commercial team.

Responsibilities -

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the sales, inventory and operations planning process.
  • Oversee the planning, procurement, and distribution of materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish capacity plans based on demands v resource availability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory control processes
  • Identify and mitigate risks
  • Analyse data and trends to identify areas for improvement in materials planning
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs
  • Leading the team to fully utilise the ERP system

Experience-

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role ideally within automotive/aerospace
  • At least 2-3 years management experience with strong leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, business processes, and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners
