Senior Management Accountant - Chesterfield –£50 - £60,000 - flexible working – 1 day in the officeWe are working for a dynamic and growth-focused company seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their Central Finance team. This is a high-profile role with significant responsibility, offering exposure to senior management and a unique opportunity to drive change across departments. If you are proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment, this could be the ideal role for you!Key Responsibilities…* You will have full responsibility for accurate reporting of company management accounts, monthly group management accounts (including accruals, prepayments, and associated commentary).* You will perform balance sheet reconciliations, including stock reconciliations and review of P&L analysis reporting.* You will manage ledger close processes, maintain robust accounting controls, vendor funding allocations, and UK VAT returns.* Be responsible for daily cash flow reporting for the group and overseeing bank reconciliations, payments, expenses, and company credit card management.* You will be managing a team of 3 finance professionals, helping develop their skills and ensuring a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.* You will present financial data to senior management, assist with year-end audit preparations, and support the Finance Manager and Finance Director with commercial reporting.* You will actively seek opportunities to enhance processes, improve reporting systems, and streamline finance functions.What the client is looking for…* You must be a fully Qualified Accountant with proven experience in management accounting.* Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a solid understanding of Corporation Tax, VAT, and employment taxes.* Have previous team management experience* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs) are essentialWhat is on offer?...* Salary of between £50-60,000 depending on experience* Hybrid Work Flexibility; enjoy the best of both worlds with a mix of remote work and office presence tailored to your preference and business needs* As a key figure in the finance team, you will have a meaningful impact on company operations and decision-making.If this role sounds like you, please do get in touch.
