Sewell Wallis are currently partnering with a large, global manufacturing business as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their team. The successful candidate will join a successful, close knit team in a fast paced role.

This business is easily commutable from all areas of Chesterfield, Sheffield, Worksop and Mansfield. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take a step up in their career.

What will you be doing?

  • Working as part of a team and reporting into the Finance Manager.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the monthly P&L.
  • Monthly reconciliations of stock records for various locations in the EMEA region.
  • Preparation of monthly journals.
  • Identifying risks and monitoring trends through KPIs.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Advanced Excel skills including V Lookups and Pivot Tables as a minimum, knowledge of VBA would be a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstratable reconciliations experience.
  • Ideally experience working in a stock heavy business including retail, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Either an Accounting and Finance degree or part-qualified AAT.

What's on offer?

  • Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience).
  • Hybrid working potential after the probationary period.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
