About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Manager to join our client, a luxury residential house builder, specializing in high-quality developments across the region. The role is integral to managing and coordinating technical and site infrastructure, from initial planning through to construction and final estate completions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Coordination: Manage technical information (drawings, quotations, approvals, agreements, etc.) to align with planning approvals and company budgets, covering utilities, roads, drainage, and more.
  • Consultant and Supplier Liaison: Advise and commission external consultants for various site assessments and ensure compliance with all contractual terms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including site managers, legal teams, local authorities, and warranty providers.
  • Project Meetings: Attend pre-start and monthly site meetings, providing updates and constructive feedback on project progress.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and CDM 2015 regulations, acting as Principal Designer where required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to best practice initiatives within the technical team and support team development.

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualifications: HND/Degree in Building Studies, Construction, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Industry Experience: Strong background in the house building industry, with knowledge of road/sewer agreements, utility frameworks, and CAD software.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and data management tools.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with CDM Regulations, NHBC requirements, and other codes of practice.
  • Key Competencies: Strong communicator, influential leader, diligent, and methodical.
