Lead Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead exciting digital manufacturing and automation projects in industries such as food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and energy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver digital manufacturing and automation projects with a team of engineers
  • Develop engineering design documents, design, and approve hardware, software, and controls for automated systems
  • Collaborate with customers and provide technical support and commissioning expertise
  • Most crucially, assist with mentoring our team of junior engineers and explore new technologies in industrial automation

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree educated and then ideally 3+ years in digital manufacturing or automation engineering; experience of working for a systems integrator or having an understanding of their role is highly desirable
  • Demonstrable experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA: Familiarity with Siemens, Rockwell, or AVEVA systems
  • Experience in validated systems within pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environments is an advantage
